The couple, who first met in high school, celebrated their union on the vibrant Mornington Peninsula. The day was filled with music from the duo Hendrix, setting a laid-back mood, courtesy of ‘Hey Jack.’ True to their love for vibrant colours, the wedding was a kaleidoscope of hues, from the stunning floral arrangements to the bridesmaids’ dresses by Bec + Bridge.
Georgia Verrells was tasked with capturing the day. Remarkably, she managed both photographs and Super 8 film footage, showcasing her exceptional talent. The newlyweds shared insights from their colourful celebration, revealing both the high points and the humorous mishaps.

Unexpected Laughs: “The funniest revelations came after the wedding,” Chloe laughed. “From Sammy’s unexpected swim to Justin’s forgotten wedding shoes and our mutual oversight in packing toothbrushes—it was clear we were swept up in the whirlwind!”
Relaxed and Colourful Ambiance: The couple envisioned a day filled with joy and relaxation, accentuated by bold colours. “We wanted it to feel like a grand celebration rather than a formal event,” they explained. The focus was on excellent food, festive decor, and a welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel part of a vibrant party.
DIY Touches: Their wedding was a testament to personal touch, involving extensive DIY projects from welcome signs to seating charts and even a custom crossword for the cocktail hour. “The streamers above the dance floor were our biggest project—each taking three hours to complete. It was a labour of love that made our venue uniquely ours,” they added.
Treasured Moments: Justin fondly recalled the moment Chloe joined him at the altar, marking the end of his nerves and the start of their new beginning. “Stealing away for a few private moments after the ceremony was priceless. It allowed us to cherish our first moments as a married couple,” he said.
Including Sammy: Having their dog Sammy at the ceremony was non-negotiable. “She’s part of our family; her presence made our day complete,” Chloe remarked.
